Exams

Since September 2006 I have been taking Marie-Jeanne Ravissot's porcelain painting course in order to prepare for the "porcelain decorator" and "porcelain painting teacher" exams which her school offers.
I passed the "porcelain decorator" exam in December 2007 and had the same success in June 2008 for the "porcelain painting teacher" exam.
All my thanks to Marie-Jeanne Ravissot.

Portrait

This portrait was inspired by a cup from the Sèvres museum of ceramics representing the Countess of Montmorency.

Round plaque, 13 cm. The cut-out border is painted with burnish gold and embellished with a white ribbon.

Tulips

Spring is gone but I still have tulips...
Three white tulips with soft purple and pink highlighs on a satin background. Blac green border embellished with gold.
Plaque height 20.5 cm, width 14 cm.

Modern coffee set

We all doodle and sketch but a customer had the idea of making me paint her abstract drawings on her coffee set.

19th century cup

A customer once brought me a broken cup painted by one of her great aunts in the 19th century. She asked me if I could make a copy to replace it. Unfortunately, as I told her, the blank china in this model can't be found nowadays, unlike many other models which can easily be replaced. She smiled at me and took out another cup, identical but blank. Thanks to her ancestor's foresight I was able to replace my customer's broken cup.
