Medicis bowl

I purchased this Chastagner bowl on impulse, but it was difficult to find the perfect design to paint on it.
I thought about it long and hard, and did research on appropriate designs, in order to find these patterns inspired from antique pieces.
Only then could the real work start - a thin layer of red, then another, before even starting on the gold work: rims, leaves, but most of all the accurate positioning of the 288 branches of the lattice-work... Hours of work summed up in a few words.
Then, to finish it off, hour after hour of work to polish the gold.
